hey new to the type r scene.

Been looking around at exhausts but there are so many and so many diff opinions.

Im looking for a exhaust system from manifold to downpipe etc. Either decat or highflow cat.
I want it to sound good but mostly get a good power gain and cope with higher end power.

This question really does depend on your budget, TODA and ARC to fantastic power gaining systems, and they come in titanium to save weight as well, but they are not cheap!

What is your budget?
 
Im not surebto be honest ill save for which ever gives me the best performance haha
Iv hearbofbthe toda ones where can u buy these. Are the the complete ssstem ibcluding downpipe and catback etc
 
Thinking of gettin the dc catback with a decat bolt on pipe so can swap back to cat for MOT.
Possibly going to get a manifold aswell. Is it crucial to get remap after puttin manifold on? if so where is good at remaps in the northwest of england.
 
Yes - and Tdi North is who you need for a map- bear in mind you need to budget for a K100/Kpro ecu as the standard one can't be mapped.
 
You will get negligible benefits from just an exhaust.

As Dott states, k100/Kpro plus decat manifold and full exhaust you will make 15-40bhp.

Even on the cheap that lot will cost you £1400-3000 depending on which exhaust/manifold/ecu you get.

Totally worth it though.
