Bit of help and advice pleae

I want to change my interior lights, mainly the middle one that comes on with the alarm, I want to put in LEDs for a white light, are they effective in these and is it easy enough to take the plastic cover of with out risk of breaking it.

A cool white LED is a better light than the standard warm light from a normall lamp.

Not sure on EP3 but most of them pull out or slide to one side then it'll drop out.
