Boot still won't open!

Hi just wondering if anyone has had to manually open the boot from the inside? ive removed the boot panel from inside and the cable is working fine but when i look at the lock, the white lock latch is not releasing. Any help would be appreciated before i have to smash something.

Have you tried pushing the lever you pull on the outside inwards as they sometimes stick due to dirt and grime.

The boot doesn't open as it is still locked from the central locking.

Lock with fob, push lever inwards, unlock, retry opening.

go inside the car climb in2 boot. pull the circle popper out , have sum1 on the outside pullin the boot handle open ul feel a lever try pushin it up and down(flathead screwdriver) and makin sure the other person is tryin 2 open it at the same time
