FN2 Brake caliper painting

Hey guys

Anybody cleaned up and painted there standard fn2 type r calipers? If so what products you use?

I didn't do my calipers myself but people tend to use hammerite paints.

Haven't done on my type-r yet but previous car. Wire brush, make sure they are cleaned up well and then hammerite.

As above, worked a treat for me, wire brush and hammerite looked like new after!

I wire brushed the heck out of mine (powerdrill wire brushing FTW), then used hammerite. 6 months down the line they could do with a touch-up to be honest.

I got a Etech painting kit from ebay £15 comes with brake cleaner paint and paint brush. wire brushed them then some brake cleaner more brushing then painted them. actually just finished painting them just there.

I cleaned mine with mountain bike disc brake cleaner, works a treat and is significantly cheaper than the car stuff.

I went blue.
