Brake Disc wear

Messages

I have a 2003 ctr with 40k on the clock, had it since Dec 2005 29k.

It has the original Disc/pads on front and rear.

Someone pointed out that the front discs are worn a bit which you would expect but the rears looks almost brand new like the haven't been used.

Is this nomal?

I thought they weren supposed to wear evenly?

p.d It's been service by Honda and just had an MOT

Thanks

Rear discs are only operating with about 20-25% of all braking pressure i believe.

I expect someone with more accuracy will comment soon - I am just guesstimating.

Heck, I am STILL on my original front disks, 75k miles into ownership :D

Nope, I just drive smoooooooth, and I brake for no-one...

When they should have been replaced about 25k miles ago

13K from new and my OEM disks and pads are totally shot

Same happened with mine, but with a more conservative 18000 miles

^^^^^ Nick is ALL about the "Supa late braking technique!"

When i had my CTR the original pads lasted til 37k miles and the rest was still original when i sold it with 45k miles on it. 8)
