Brake pads and fluid?

Hi, just got a 57 plate FN2 and had a dig through the service history (6 Honda and 1 specialist), not completely happy with the servicing as there were long periods between services - 16, 20 and 22 months between some of them, the last one being 15 months ago. So I'd like to give it a (level one?) service. Probably at Grinspeed or the previous specialist which was Phoenix Close in Heywood, where it had the gearbox oil replaced and valve clearances adjusted in July '16.

It was MOT'd last week with one advisory which was the O/S/F brake pad wearing thin. The brakes aren't that confidence inspiring (obviously wearing thin won't help) but I'm also looking for pad recommendations, I've seen the Ferodo DS2500 mentioned a lot but read that they create a lot of dust? Any other recommendations? Will be mostly for road use with the possibility of a track day in the future.

It's also due to have the brake fluid replaced, any recommendations for this also?

Cheers.

Yeah I'd get it serviced, I've used Grinspeed before and Stevie's work is highly rated.

The DS2500 should be fine for the road, they are dusty. Most change the brake fluid for Motul RBF600.

Cheers, I'll give them a call and see how much it is.

Are there any less dusty pads but similar performance / price? If not I'll order some DS2500s.

Yes. Project MU 400s are excellent for the money and not too bad dust wise.
