Calliper Piston Seized!!

Messages
111
So yesterday I was changing my pads and on the one side the piston will not go back in!!!

The rubber seal has been damaged at some point which has left it exposed to the weather.

What should I do here in peoples opinions?

Can I fix it myself? i.e take the piston out somehow and clean it up?

Any help would be massively appreciated as I could do with the car for work tomorrow!!!

Cheers all :)

I've been down this road, just get a refurb'd piston and send yours back.

You would have to strip the caliper yourself and refurb it. It won't be too dissimilar to most guides around.

Personally, I'd rather pay someone or a company to just fix it all for me.

All depends how handy you are with tools. I wouldn't say it's a hard job I have dine mine on the ATR in a few hours.

Friend of mine did this with his back callipers on his Lude and was very happy with the refurbed product.
