Cat and the EML light

Hi peeps

Probably been discussed many many times but I couldn't find the answer lol.

Bought my 05 EP3 around 2 years ago, a few months after buying I realised that the EML doesn't flash when the ignition is turned.i know that the car had a aftermarket cat (the exhaust needs changing in full which I plan to do) and then came to the stark realisation that someone has likely cut the wire/removed the bulb so they can sell it to an idiot like me! The car other than this great in terms of items history, not too rusty (going to do a resto to bring this thing back to factory standard etc) so I want to sort this out. I took out the cluster and tried to look at the wires for anything obvs and changed a few bulbs around but I couldn't get the light to turn on. So in short, anyone got any ideas, is there a diagram or a how to for someone sorting this thing out please ?

I need a new exhaust that isn't a massive single can else id have got the Tegiwa, struggling to find a very very close to OEM twin exit exhausts and I don't want to buy a second hand one if I can help it, advice on the cat is welcome also, I know Tegiwa have various CEL cats and the higher one promises to be complaint and no EML so that's an option, any other ? Angled O2 sensor on the cheaper 100cel cat ?

Car has a K&N typhoon which is also going be ripped out for the standard air box also. TIA
