Chain issues 9 months after replacement !!!

Had my chain, tensioner and guides done about 9 months ago .... all genuine Honda parts
cost about 700 with some other bits and bobs
all was good ..
now I'm getting the chain slap on cold mornings again !!!!!!!

Took it back to the garage ... they said its could be the tensioner again ...
spoke to Honda the said it was unlikey to be tensioner could be fitting
Did a Oil Flush and chain and it was abit better for a week or so ..

Now its worst !!!!

just wondering if anyone has had similar issues ??? and could it be something ells like oil pressure ...
my local garage said it could also be cam gears but that doesn't sound right to me

any input would be great .... sorry its a 03 ep3

Unless there's a fault with one of the parts (highly unlikely if all sourced from a reputable Honda reseller if not Honda themselves) then the blame would be with whoever fitted the parts. Unless of course you've been running around with low oil?
 
not low Oil is always checked weekly ... had enough civics to know to check oil weekly .
Problem I have now is Honda will only cover the warranty on the faulty part if found not labour to strip and replace ...

My local garage has been taken over and not sure I trust them to admit if it was fitted incorrectly .. seems I bit weird it was fine for 9 months
 
independent ... they have been good but not so sure now ... could it be cam gears or pressure .... also would running it low knacker the tensioner???? I have checked it and it bit alittle over the low mark but never below that !!!
 
Diagnosing something like this over the internet is pretty hard work. I'd be wanting to get a specialists opinion, such as TGM, Performance Autoworks depending where you are then going from there.
 
yerh I understand... TGM is to far i'm near Brighton .. do you know anyone near Worthing/ brighton area
