Changing petrol straight away

I'm planning to change my petrol from normal unleaded to momentum 99ron.

Is it ok to just put that momentum petrol straight? with some normal unleaded on the tank? Or do I need to do something first?

I have decided to change petrol as I have read some topics that this is even safer and cheaper way to save money. :D

Thanks.

You don't need to do that at all, just put the petrol in the tank. That's it.

Yeah I know you don't need to do it. But if I am coughing up the extra mula for the better fuel I would want it working ASAP.

Reset ecu - disconnect battery. Wait a min then reconnect.

Or pull out fuse number 6 from under the bonnet fuse box for a minute, but it's really not necessary.

just let it refigure and do nothing. Or what griffin said as its easy. It won't blow up if you don"t though

Jeez. It's just petrol.

It doesn't matter which type you use. They are all safe to use.

Especially in a uk car.

Fill it up and drive it.

But stu. The highly tuned engine (especially if it runs a typhoon or tegiwa) will need to be optimised. Lulz

I've put half tank of Momentum 99. Will probably stick to 95 after that fuel and do what you guys said. Thanks :D

Confused.

I got a typhoon KN right now fitted.

I thought I need a map after getting a different induction.

Nope, you don't need to do anything.

Plus if you're going to spend out on a kpro and map you may want to upgrade your k&n induction :)

Yep! Looking to get tegiwa on my birthday lol. Treating myself, I've seen you have KN typhoon, are you still using it?

If I get a tegiwa is mapping necessary? I just want a different/better induction, sound, exhaust sounds while leaving the ECU standard?

Thanks mate sorry for noobish questions.

You don't need a different ECU if you are only running a catback and an induction kit (any catback and any induction kit) you will need a Kpro/K100 if you get a manifold and RBC or any other engine work

Stop apologising, this is the whole reason for a forum :)

Yeah I'm still using my k&n, cheap and cheerful.

I don't have a map, unnecessary for my needs but if you want all of the engines potetial then a map is the best thing ;)

Thanks mate. I have a catback and getting a Tegiwa M soon and thats about it on my car and I'll run it on 99ron to get the full potential and I'll leave the mapping as it cost way too much! :D
