Nice! Saw this one up for sale and was tempted myself. Seemed like a fair price. Enjoy the motor!

Thanks mate, Best one I could find that was in my budget and local enough. It was Imported late last year and Regitered in March this year. Im the first UK owner

Thanks guys, Its done 42k and I picked it up for £7,500. Inside needs a good clean and there are a few chips and scuffs that need sorting but other than that shes pretty mint.

Wow, very nice civic you've got there :) Don't see many JDM EP3's around, and when you do they're usually the pre-facelift so it's nice to see this on here!

Low miles, top price, i guess you get what you pay for.
Looks stock past the wind deflectors, any mods we can't see from the pics?

Thanks, Yeah it has Mugen Suspension and a lower drivers seat rail that I would actually like to swap for the standard rail because im a short ass lol.

I'm desperate to find a lower seat rail so I'd be willing to swap. I have a pre facelift with red recaro's. I presume they would fit the same?

Being a noob to Hondas in general Im not the best person to ask lol. If they are the same and you can drive to mine I will be happy to swap them over on the driveway.

Thanks Col R I sure will! Stretched its legs earlier and she pulls so well! Such a revving beast I thought I was hurting it lol.

If the cars maintained mechanically, you'll struggle to 'hurt it'.

Never had a JDM EP3 so I'm not sure if you have a service/owners manual etc, be handy to have one (in English)

Pretty sure Honda say oil/filter change every 12500 if driven easily but most keen owners, including myself have an oil change around 6K. I'd use magnetic sump plugs while I was at it (keep that low mileage engine clean). I'd want to know that all the fluids were renewed upon import but I'm pretty picky. Valve clearances are every 25K, as are spark plugs and I think the air filter change is supposed to be every 2nd service.

Enjoy fella, look after this car and it'll look after you O:)

Thanks for all the advice mate.

I made sure they done oil and filter change. I have it booked in to have air filter, spark plugs, coolant and gear box oil changed. Also just purchased brake pads, braided lines and new fluid.

Unfortunately the car came with no service history so if and when I get any free time I am bringing it all up to scratch before I start modifying. I didn't know about the valve clearances, are there any tell tail signs that they need doing? She runs pretty quiet apart from what I think/hope is a rattly heat shield. I have a rattle coming from either the front (cabin side) or behind (engine bay) fire wall.

Nice example mate,

When I first got mine I took it to Honda for a free health check, you don't need to use them for anything they find but it's a good starting point if your not sure about it's history.

No worries fella!

Sounds like you've got it pretty well sussed out, nice one! Yip, valve clearances are every 25K, they'll probably be OK but you just never know how the Japs have driven it! If it were me, I'd probably take it to a Type R specialist (not strictly Honda themselves) but I've no idea who's nearest to you. Just for piece of mind. Going back to what I said earlier about the spark plugs you could just check them every 25K and then every service after (they might be OK for 50K)

Heat shield, common problem nothing to worry about get under and have a good look around, might be the exhaust mani or the CAT mani.

Maybe someone else could advise you about where to go to have your clearances checked...
