Civboy's Drag EG6 Turbo

Messages

Well i've had this EG6 for the last 7+ year's now, and it's been the best car i've own'd
I'll gave you a run down how thing's happend, when i first got her it was the fastest thing i have driven (18 at the time) it was pretty much stock just had some exhaust on there not sure what it was back then and on 40mm springs, anyway's time went on and mod's started happening, first of all was D2 coilover's :D was happy when that handled so much better with the all level true 40mm drop and rebound etc, Then came the wheel's Cirt 8's, From there the Spoon n1, EK9 recaro's. Time went on again and that's when i got hooked by the boost monstar (Oh joys) I done countless of research oh boost app's and set up's what i wanted to use it for etc etc, Soo i'll let the picture's do the talking now

Had the EK9 as the daily driver, As everything was done ready for the dyno tune so off we went straped ready to go 442.4whp at just over 18psi, was great loved every min of it always got the rush even when driving it normal/slow you just knew that you had that power under your right foot  anyway's 2weeks past, and was coming up to jap show final 07!! drop up north to leicester to see Yasir for more tuning, we cracked on with more tuning and it felt even better faster loved it, so i left yasir with a bigger smile and went down to santa pod (friday night) got 6miles away from pod and this nasty sound happend while i was pulling up to a traffic light, turn the motor off to have a look couldn't see nothing wrong by eye, tryed turning it over again well thats when the death of the b18 happend Droped a valve  (1:30am) 96miles away from home oh joy's got home at 6am, left the car in the garage for awhile didn't know what to do with her, anyway's picked my self back up and started stripping her down to find the damage

Well that was that took the whole motor out and striped it bare again, from there i didnt do nothing for like 2odd years just stayed like it, then i got the dead B18 sleeved with darton Mids, bought a CTR head 44k complete, and started to get the ball rolling again striped the whole shell down to nothing, no fuel line's, brake line's, fuel tank out the lot

Love it, mate. A lot of money spent. 8)

I like the fact you done most of the work. Come turbo my DC5.

dedication or what!!! the sound of a valve dropping..... not something you EVER want to hear again!! feel for you man. nuts build though!

Thank's guy's last time she was on the road she was at 442.4whp, but building her for 700whp this time round. Just can't wait to get her back on the road :)

700 whp? fcuk!!

Great build mate & good luck finishing.

Agree with Monk, the mani is a piece of artwork.

Again thank's guy's for your comment's, D4N H poom had video's of the last time it was on the road but he lost the file's so only one's i have when it was on the roller's on a poor N95 Nokia phone lol

Here some of the video's sorry for the poor sound and picture but joy's of an old phone

Pulling out the yard for the first time

This video is on the roller's having traction problems even with 6 strap's holding her down

This is when we got it stuck down

This is a great build, thanks for sharing. :)

It always amazes me the number of boosted B series engines you see over the K series, I'm not sure if it's down to cost, availability of parts, or whether the B is just more suited.

Well as the K-ser is becoming more common for swap's in EG's EK's and DC2's there better suited and easyer fitment to turbo then trying it fit everything in a EP3 or DC5 etc, Won't be long till you start seeing more and more K-ser boosted, Common as hell in the state's just the UK is like 10years behind the yanks thats all lol
