Civic type r tapping

Hi i got a civic type r 02 plate with 80,000 mile running 209bhp

The problem i have is at 3000 revs i get a tapping from the engine i think but goes with higher revs ??

Any help would be cool thanks

It's not the vtec cover over the manifold is it?

Try taking the cover off and go for a little trip

This happens when there is too much oil in the sump, drop about 2litres and it soon goes.

hey did you find a solution to it in the end?? did it only happen when the engine was warm and if you have time, does it sound like mine in the video in one of my threads??
