On a type r forum - I think it would be frowned upon.

However, I have started a build thread on the Astra Owners Network Forum.
Will probably be spending more time there now.
I am getting Tom at TGM to do most of the work.
Amazing how the debate of open cone and sealed Airbox is raging on that forum too.

I'm at TGM for some bits tomorrow, wouldn't go anywhere else down here.

Tom is great. Even though he is a Honda specialist, I would prefer for him to do my work.
He has got to do the Cam belt and waterpump on my Astra.

But in fairness it was the market value for that car. I could have got more with arguing, but that's being plain greedy.

Thats a fair price mate.
Its not like its a sellers market unfortunately now so you probably ended up with more than selling private.
I only got £5.5k last year for my 05 with 50k on the clock, FHSH.

Though in fairness, it sounds like otherwise you would have had no intention of selling the car.
Its a shame, but at least you've not been robbed by the insurers.

You are right. I had no real intention of selling. I had the diff and clutch fitted and the engine mount insert. Eibach pro kit too. Camber arms and bolts.
Got most parts off before she went.

And I think I got a good price. But I still miss the excitement I uses to get from driving a CTR.

It was a shame you couldn't have stripped the gearbox and other parts.
Did you ever find out where the Cosmic EP3 ended up? Which breakers??
would have been good to go and pick up the gearbox with the LSD etc in it.

Oh it will be better. It's a facelift JDM.
So some extras already fitted - PRC manifold, better cat and manifold (compared to UKDM)
And not forgetting the LSD.
