Clunk when steering left or right

Hi all, when I am doing low speeds and I steer left or right I can hear a clunking sound coming from the suspension struts, it is especially loud when I am stationery. I took out the complete strut and sprayed the hell out of them with lube and put them back in. The noise went away for a few days but came back.

It is almost like the top of the spring is catching and then clunking back into place under steering. I have had APEX 30mm lowering springs on the car for 3 years now and not had problems before. Any ideas?

Yes i have and they were replaced less then a year ago so they should be sound. The sound doesn't come when you go over a bump so ive pretty much discounted the droplinks.

I have suspected that it could well be the top mounts. Looks like ill have to order up some. Any advice on top mounts guys?

Go genuine where possible but you can get generic replacements that will work just fine. Have a search on Google.

Im not really sure what the difference is and why one is 15 quid more than the other one.

They will do the job. The reason one is more expensive than the other is because it comes with bearings where the cheaper set doesn't. Get the set with bearings, but get them direct from their website http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=11719&cat=0&sub=0&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=
