clutch ??? problem ???

this morning my car was running fine, but recently has been smelling like something burning but i did not take much notice. i got the car got so far and then stopped dead complety i had it up to 50mph and then nothing car smelt and now is all its doing is revving but not movement just the revs go sky high???

Yes. You have a clutch problem.

More than Likely the pressure Plate has failed.

any weird sounds you noticed before it went? and wiring or grinding sounds?

what car is it? are you mechanicly minded or are you just sending it to a garage? a clutch supply and fit on a ctr is around £400 minimum thats all so not a cheap job, if your able to do it yourself then a good clutch can be bought for around £180
