Clutch Vibration

Messages

Hi all,

I had an Exedy clutch fitted and all seemed fine. I have done 350 miles on it and now noticed this issue..maybe it's unrelated?

If you rest your foot on the clutch slightly, you can feel a slight vibration coming through the pedal. Once you press the clutch pedal down and go past about 1inch of travel, the vibration goes.

It is slighlty worse when driving but seems to dissapear after 3500rpm.

Any ideas?

I had this exact same issue on my old Ep3 with an Exedy clutch. Never figured out what it was. Would be interested to know.

When you let the clutch up, the gearbox still spins it's just not meshed to a drive gear. Vibration could be anything on the friction disc, pressure plate, bearings or flywheel.
