19" has more rubber so grip is better than 18" and there lower profile so less play in the rubber wall so yes they do compromise comfort ...

In the dry Potz are a match for most tyres IMO; they're just w@nk in the wet...
I wouldn't say that, though they aren't that good. They more than make up for it with they're stiff sidewalls.
I've heard the Toyo T1-R's are meant to be awesome (Dry and not as bad as the other two in the wet, apparently).. will be looking into those.. when the need arises, one day.
But you'll have to live with floppy sidewalls.
