Cosmic Rocket dyno'd today

Took the Cosmic Rocket to Devil Developments in Littlehampton today, only 15mins away too. Lee there has a good rep with Ford RS lads, and lassies of course, and very reasonable dyno charges as well

The old girl did herself proud and Maxed out at 310bhp/212ft.lb. at 8200revs, and better than I expected, so probably give a standard RS a fright at least

Lee reported that AFR was ‘spot on’, however he did notice a little ‘DET’ around 4000revs, he suggested that changing fuel from Tesco Momentum to BP Ultimate would probably eliminate it

Although Lee is not currently able to map Hondata cars, his capabilities on Ford’s is extensive, there were 4 or 5 ‘serious’ looking RS’s in the car park. Who knows if some of us locals badger him he may well take on the cars from Japan, Opps I meant Swindon

Cost, well I was quoted £60 in his absence, I was happy with that as I mainly wanted to see if she had any ‘issues’, and £60 is way better than a blown engine

As you would expect with his long experience he just has an ‘ear’ for it, as with the DET, although minor he could hear it... ‘can you not hear that little ‘crackling’ noise’.. ‘well, no I can’t’. Also soon as he ran it up... ‘Are it’s got launch control too eh ?’

In the end, being his own boss, he charged me less than quoted.. bonus :lol:, so more than l happy with his service
