CTR Boot install

After a couple of years of not having a system in my car I decided to fit one again :D

I decided to go for a stealth box, but I found someone selling an amp box, so with a little modification and a quick re-trim i went from this

to the finished sub box

I fitted the front Focals, the tweeters are mounted on the inside wing mirror trim, the crossovers are mounted inside the door

and the rear Infinitys

Then ran the phono cables down the offside of the car and the power leads down the nearside

I fitted a false MDF floor in the boot

Then fitted the amps

The amps were covered with a cover plate

Then I covered the floor in carpet

All I have left to do now is make a pair of covers for the amps and fit a strip of thin MDF to the rear of the boot floor to tidy off the carpet.

Now for sale

Cracking job, mate. But where do you put your shopping?

there are two cover plates that sit on top of the amps to allow the boot to be used.

its a practical solution that allows a system to be fitted whilst still allowing the boot to be used.

This is in the "For sale" section tho..

Hi,

I have had it fitted in the car for just under a year, the CTR is being exchanged for a 330d on Wednesday so all the parts are being sold off.

I have written the above installation report on another forum, i copied it into here instead of linking to the other forum in the for sale thread as i thought that would have been a little cheeky.
