Then I was up at croft circuit the week after for a track day that's organised through the ford RS owners club.
Needed some new rubber, so thought I'd try these,

All fitted :)

Drove up to croft the following Friday, camped up there all weekend.
Out on track all day Saturday, was wet in the morning so took it steady, but still bout lost it at one point lol!
Here's a vid of the first morning session, was first time at this track and wet..https://vimeo.com/175088991

And this was in the afternoon once the track had dried up, and I had a bit more confidence.
Had a really good battle with a supercharged ST and 2 Clio sports, I did get past them all eventually lol! https://vimeo.com/175090216

How did you find the RS-R's on track? Have you tried any other tyres on track to compare?

Found them amazing, but, can't compare them to anything really, as I've never tried any semi slicks, only road tyres.
Ad08r's next I think

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've got them on my Evo, they aren't as good as AD08R on track however they nearly are. But they are a lot cheaper! So I think I'll stick with them till I get my sump baffle in and I go to a proper semi slick tyre.

That's what a lot of people say, but, you get a extra 2-2.5mm tread on the ad08r's.
Sump baffles on my list!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They cost me £85 a corner, AD08R's are £130 the last time I checked so a fair difference.

Right, so after croft I decided to paint my callipers, as they was starting to look real sorry for them selves.

So I whipped them off, only to find the pads needed replacing too, whipped the pads out and the seals were buggered too haha.

So they've been treated to a full rebuild with paint after seeing the thread in here.

Before I touched them

Looking much better dude! A job I need to look into doing at some point, mine have gone pink over most of them

I also set about getting my oil temp gauge wired in once and for all,
I opted to put the actual temp sensor in where the sump plug goes, so went for one of these adaptors..
65a8e23cc9eb40838c9bbb0e6c3c9701.png

Using some hondabond HT to seal it
aa589375bab218aaeecf515bb4eb316d.jpg

I then jacked it up and attempted to "snatch" it, went well, only lost about 50ml of oil lol!
bedd9791b51f879d64ac38885121bbdd.jpg

Ran the cable through the bulk head with the rest of them and down the back out the way of heat.
So all wired up now and working a treat! :D
b6cdbb6b4e39700e54c53f5243a4a5c5.jpg

While I was under the car there was still oil collecting down there -.-
But from the drivers side this time, so I followed it up and decided it's the VTEC solenoid gasket. Next job..
New gasket and solenoid off.
I also asked for the "spool gasket" which I thought was the round one on the top of the solenoid. Turns out it's not, so I've just left that one.

No pictures of putting it back on as you can't really see it.
But I cleaned all the surface first then put it on, there is 3x 10mm long bolts that hold it on, you just have to feel your way.
After recent checks it's all dry under there.. Finally!

Now, getting a little more recent,
Attended the fast car festival at donnington on the Sunday, was a real good show with a very wide verity of cars.
The ITR DC5 club stand was heaving!
Jokes, there was me and Chris Martin on it, another dc5 come and parked with us briefly, didn't say hello or stay there long though haha.

Also I booked a 20min track session, thought it would be rude not to seems as I was already there.

As I was on track a new mini infront of me burst out in smoke (later found out it was his coolant pipe had split) leaking fluid all on the track, just after a long straight doing about 120, as I braked for for the corner the abs kicked in and I thought I was going into the tyre wallBut all was okay luckily!
Got chatting to the lad after and he very kindly gave me his later 2 track sessions which I very much enjoyed. Anywayyy,
Few pics, still watermarked because I'm too tight to buy them

Overall the car performed well on track, again! And I'm well chuffed with it to say the least. Loved donnington once I finally got used to the track.

Enjoy the read, pictures and video :)

My head lights looked real poor and I was thinking about new ones, as the difference is night and day,
But first decided to try giving them a good spruce up.

Right, been a while so I think it's update time!

Long post, lots of pictures, finally had the boost wound up!

Maybe a few of you might of seen this on FB but I woke up on The last bank holiday with a lovely surprise...
382ce7499d0866ac8d8573db19af4698.jpg

Yup, some little crettin decided to smash my window and steal my camera, fuming! It was in a bag so they got lucky that it was in there I guess. Oh well, you live and learn.

Tried sorting through insurance first but they told me a 14 week wait for the glass.. Haha I don't think so.

So, temporary :(
f93beb313ef0b10d0c2e0214fd29396a.jpg

I ended up ordering one from integrastella on eBay, speedy delivery but, BUT it was scratched to hell and back

3b9e3c8796397d6ae939e2db835429e2.jpg

Gutted! So with not wanting to happen again I arranged to go to his unit and collect a new one. Got there with a choice of 3 which were all unblemished.

Pretty sound bloke tbf, showed me round all the cars he was breaking and his own r35 which was awesome. Couple of NSX shells lol and a excrement load of dc5's' s2k's and ep3's..

If you ever need anything and are quite close, go and collect it. Amazing place lol!

So then I set about getting the old one out.. Wow that window bonding stuff is hard to cut, surprised I've got any fingers left

Then I was on to swapping a few bits before I went for mapping.

Then I saw some avid billet mounts come up on the forum, which I really felt the car needs on track, so I snapped them up!
Oooo pretty

I've also done the rear lower one but not got pictures as its quite awkward as im sure a lot of you know.

Cabin vibrations aren't as bad as I was expecting tbh. Don't get me wrong the shake the cabin and get worse as the revs go up, but racecar

While doing these I noticed one of my top mounts had split.

And finally to finish off,
It was then Time to take a trip back up to TDI north to have the boost wound up, boost by gear set up and switchable maps.
All went well and it made a cracking 404bhp on high boost and 330 on the low boost. Feels like a totally different car!

Also forgot to add,

I was driving around for 3 weeks with out any MOT haha!
As soon as I realised I got one the same day, anddd it failed. Only on tyres so I had to blip home and quickly swap wheels
e04b215ecc1e0f5d8af327fa7d322664.jpg

It then passed with just "rear brake pads wearing thin" so that was on the to do list.
3acfdaac34e1529d965c1e049f1004f8.jpg

Since then I've had some new eagle f1's fitted. Okay in the dry and decent in the wet.

Been and had my tracking done again after changing the top mount

f564c13e5ccee74fc88adc5462f08341.jpg

Best time I did was 13.36 so basically added over 100bhp to shave off 7 tenths of a second haha!
01a7f243b840acb1978f2a15cab88bc4.jpg

Spoke to this guy after and he's running about 440bhp so it was a close one. Really need the boost dropping loads in 2nd and a little at the top end of 3rd to help traction.
Makes me want/need kpro so I could alter my self.. but that's another thing on the "want" list lol
https://vimeo.com/190174480
And a inside view
https://vimeo.com/190174633

And that's it for now.

I've just "SORN" for over winter, kind of got plans, not 100% on what exactly, but got a idea. So I'll try and keep it updated!

Cheers
