I believe so - within reason. There are a few different shim sizes - you might get lucky and the shim you have will fit, or you might have to buy a new shim (about £12). Unfortunately the only way to find out is to split the box and measure - which means the car is off the roads for a bit, or you buy a selection of shims.

You'll also need new diff oil seals, and gearbox oil.

Hmm so e people I've mentioned you may get away with the standard one that's already in the box, ill do more investigation.
 
My old cosmic had a diff from a Dc5. TGM in fleet fitted it with a new clutch.
Made a huge difference.
I only paid £250 for it - and it had covered only 47000km on it. So it was still fresh!!
