EP3 Done it again

Well - I bought another EP3. this one happens to be a JDM spec car.
Makes up for the one I lost last year.
Pics coming soon.

Great news mate, I am looking forward to seeing this.
I remember reading when you lost your last one, gutted at that.

Thanks JMR. This one isn't as nice in my opinion. The Cosmic was mint. Not a single scratch.
A 22 year old kid with no sense owned this. It's got nicks and marks in various places. Nothing major.
Just needs a bit of TLC to get her back to glory.

Thats damn good milage for an anniversary, and not too bad a price considering. I got mine for 2700 with 83k on, really clean as well.

its actually a Jap import - a 2006 JDM spec car!
Usual JDM issues - No service History - idiot of a previous owner.....

Never did a progress thread on the other 2 EP3s but I will on this one.
So, I bought this off a member here, Schiller. It is a 2006 EP3 in Satin Silver. 45000 on the clock. The bonus is that it is a JDM import.

It has been slammed with raceland coil overs. Not to my taste. It also has a spoon N1 and spoon B-pipe. Not forgetting the potential hydrolocking from the AEM V1 CAI.
All those mods are going to be stripped off to start with.
Unfortunately, I live in London, where there are more speed bumps than straight untouched road.
First thing - is to get the handling side sorted. Going back to an Eibach pro kit.
Will post pics when I get those fitted.

Now on the prokit. Still need a few weeks for everything to settle down. But drive is a massive improvement. Speed ramps are a breeze (in comparison) and overall it's good. Just need to sort out the ditch finder series tyres. Shocking!!

Right. So over this coming weekend, if the weather doesn't stop play, I'll fit some of my stereo equipment.
Also, if I can be bothered, I'll attempt to fit my J's racing Tsuchinoko intake kit to the EP3.
It's pure sex of carbon.
Can't be too many of these around

Definitely looks better with the ProKit.

I have no idea why people slam them to the ground.

Also got the J's Racing Tsuchinoko carbon intake.
What a piece of kit. It replaces the AEM CAI that was previously fitted. Removing the CAI, I proceeded by taking the bumper off. I would have needed to fit the J's anyway.
Out came the CAI and on went the J's:

Fitting was a pig. There isn't really much room in the engine bay. Got the initial base box fitted and then plumbed in the new hose and attached the filter.

Next up I fitted the scoop and trimmed my bumper and grill.

Not to mention also got some castor increase bushes too.

Car has been at TGM just before Christmas. Had the major service done and a few other things.

Tom has fitted a new clutch along with a 5.1 final drive.
He had fitted my Fujitsubo Legalis R exhaust, braided brake lines, new rocker cover too.

Not done a lot for a while. Had a long 6th gear fitted for the long journeys. TGM fitted it.

Huge difference. Rather than 4200 rpm @80 mph its 3400.

Full service and new front pads.
