Drive Belt and tension-er snapped

Yeah. Took it to 3 garages, Honda wanted 2.5K others wanted just under 2K to fix it. It only gets used for shortish journeys. The wifes car gets used for the long journeys.

Fair play.. Would of been cheaper just to swap engines can pick good en's up for 600-1000 quid...
Honda are robbing gits

Is chippyleigh not selling a full rebuilt engine with new tensioner and timing chain for just over a grand i think.

Could strip you're engine and make a good bit back aswell.

holy f*ck i can't believe you paid that much for that!

Mine went on my EP3, i sourced and replaced it for around £60

yeah! sourced a bracket and pulley off someone who was breaking their car, and did the work myself, it's a really simple job.

oh i forgot the cost of the belt too, was around £80 altogether then, still quite a difference!

I would be quite concerned that the garage could not spell "disposal" on the invoice.
