EML keeps flickering.

Hi as above... the light only flickers when i first accelerate anyone know why?

Its only since i got the car tuned with a kpro.

Someone mentioned it just cause its taking more fuel ? but i don't know so i thought i would get the opinions on here as it is annoying me.

Cheers

What does that mean? i take it thats quite bad. Will it just be because its not tuned right? Its going to tdi soon anyway should of went there in first place.

Yea. It's bad.

Pre-ignition. Pinking. Knock.

Where the mixture combusts before the spark plug ignites it.

Can cause piston/rod damage.

Not cool.

Yes it means worse case fuel is burning when it shouldn't which can lead to piston/valve erosion and engine failure. Stay off heavy throttle and if TDI are closest give them a call as soon as possible or drop them a PM

It could be engine noise as the device that picks up this noise is a basic microphone, a heatshield or loose component can set this off but is not worth a failure over.

Sosmotorsport in falkirk. Loxy even said the dyno graph i put up was bit weird. I had plans on puting inlet manifold and dc5 cams so thats why i brought that forward so i could it tuned again.

Will i be ok to fit the dc5 cams and inlet manifold on glasgow and drive to tdi? Specialist was ment to fit them cause i knew them and was cheaper for me. Tdi said this was ok and safe aslong as i don't tank it but with this new problem is it still safe to do that?

Might give that guy a bash not sure lol probably just stick to tdi as that was my plan first time then went to sos lastmin cause they were closer so knowing my luck it will turn out bad or somthing.

do not go full throttle, set off early and drive on part throttle pal. you should be safe

link to dyno?

The new problem, knock, can be avoided if you don't drive I hard.

Personally, I wouldn't fit cams and an inlet and drive all the way to Warrington without mapping.

the flickering only does it when i first touch the accelerater it doesnt do it if my foot is constant on it lol just incase i didn't explain it right.

Going to email tdi just now see when the first date i can go down after the holidays.

So it flickers immediately?
Soon as you touch the pedal, when driving or just when setting off?
