Post 108 - Can Vouch for this - done exactly as Jermal has pointed out and I got great results.

I was sh!tting taking a hose to my engine bay - but I followed the steps in the link I posted and this is what my bay looks like now. (Credit to Tony; thanked accordingly)

The hardest part is the preparation (certain electrical components/connectors are difficult to get to, and clingfilm effectively) and the drying - as it requires a meticulous approach to deal with the pools of water, deeper down the bay.. I went as far as removing my bumper and lip - to do it properly.. The Battery area pools water too. I used old towels (of different thickness/plushiness), cue-tips/cotton buds.. and lots of patience.

I used the following:

- Gunk Liquid Degreaser (Not the spray can - my Halfords didn't have it)
- Meguiars Metal Polish for the inlet manifold and other metal areas (including the steering components and A/C piping :lol:LOL)
- And funnily enough, with great results - Meguiars endurance Tyre Gel, for some of the rubber areas hoses... looks spotless and smells great.
- AutoGlym Plastic care (or something like that) for the airbox - although the damp rag I used with the tyre gel, gave bay plastics a decent sheen too.

Bliss.
