Engine Management Light On - Possible mods?

Apparently i was told today that fitting aftermarket b pipe makes the eml come on

Probably you're talking about fitting a de-cat and not an aftermarket b pipe?

Well another interesting observation today. Having been driving around lots over the last two days and the EML had stayed off. Petrol was getting low, down to just under a quarter and the EML came on. Drove around some more today until the petrol light came on. So filled up with 95RON as normal and within a mile, the EML went out again.

Not sure if this would be related to any sensors or just a coincidence.
