EP3 feels sluggish low end

My 2003 EP3 feels slow between 1k - 3k and also feels slow moving off.

I recently changed my battery and issue was sorted for two days but now its back.

I have my standard air box on and also tried aem v2 short ram - no difference. I have no other mods.

Only code showing is P1298 Honda - Electric Load Detector Circuit High Voltage which also shows on my friends ep3 and his car runs fine so I dont think this is causing it.

Anybody else have the same issue? Any simple fixes?

You could try doing an ecu learn because you disconnected the battery it's prob still trying to learn the parameters again .

ECM ldle Learn Procedure

The idle learn procedure must be done so the ECM can
learn the engine idle characteristics.

Do the idle learn procedurew henevery ou do any of
these actions:
. Disconnectth e battery.
Replace the ECM or disconnect its connector.
Reset the ECM.

Procedure:
To complete the idle learn procedure, do this:

1. Makes ure all electricali tems (A'Caudio, rear
defogger,lights,e tc.,)are off.

2. Start the engine, and hold it at 3,000 rpm with no
load{ in neutral) until the rad fan comes on,or
until the engine coolant temperaturre reaches (90'c).

3. Let the engine idle for about 5 minutes with the
throttle fully closed.

NOTE: lf the radiator fan comes on, do not include its
running time in the 5 minutes

If you google faulty ELD or the code you'll see most symptoms are similar to yours, so i'd just get it changed

Thanks for the replies, tried the ecm reset but no change and I will try changing the ELD and see what happens.
