EP3 Heater/Blower Resistor

Hi guys. First post and I have a quick question.

Im having the blower resistor problem for my 53 EP3 and need to get a new one.

Question is - would a resistor from an 06 Civic work? They look identical to the but wondered if they had different ratings?

With the dash boards being so different i thought maybe the loom would be different also.

Any thoughts?

I know this is an old thread, but don't believe that what I am going to post deserves a new one.


I bought one advertised as for an Acura off a well known auction site and it seems to work fine. I must state that I have no direct comparison, though, as the original had gone.
It is not genuine, it is a brand called Smart Sense and the listing claimed a three year warranty. It was cheaper than any genuine second hand part on the auction site at the time.
