EP3 HID kits

Hi, considering getting a HID kit fitted to my 2005 EP3. As well as a H1 kit, is there anything else that I will need to get?

I've seen people also mention projector headlights, are these standard on the facelift car?

Thanks for any advice :)

I would watch out I bought a h1 hid kit for my 2005 type r ep3 premier and it doesnt fit I only have 2 trrminals which means h7 so I cant work it out , weird

As per your thread Josh.

A facelift takes a H1 bulb in the dipped headlight (the one you want a HID in). A H7 bulb is in the 07-12 Civic Type R, so isn't the right one for your car.

If you bought H1s and they didn't fit, maybe you were sent the wrong bulbs?

Isn't the H1 a dual element bulb? Dipped headlights and side lights? The HID bit will be on the main beam only, the other connector from your loom would go to the sidelight.

I've never fitted them myself on the facelift, I never even had the bulbs out on mine, so pure speculation.

No that's not the case John, separate bulbs for dipped and main beam, and another for side lights.

H1 is the right bulb size for FL headlights, that's what i had in mine before I took them off.

The bulb connecter block has three terminals in, you need two of them them to run HID's (the left and right one, leaving the top one free).
