EP3 non-start wont start

Hybrid Tensioners have had a run of failures recently, even though they are a dual ratchet design.

Personally I'd recommend Toda tensioners. Improved channels, hardened teeth and all that jazz.

Don't go for a non-genuine OEM equivalent, they stretch and are generally poor quality.
