ep3 over reving need help

hello people,

something ive noticed since having my ep3 is when the car is cold and i start it the revs hold at about 2000-2200 revs and stays that way until the car warms up

has anyone had this before or does anyone have any idears of how to cure this problem?

That's the auto choke it's suppose to do it

thats what a mate at my local garage assumed, i just found it excessive and quite annoying.

well at least its not abnormal, does it really only do this when outside temps are like they are at the moment?

It always does it, IME.

Exception being, if the car is restarted shortly after being driven (therefore already reasonably warm).

When reasonably warm; the idle settles to about 800rpm.
