EP3 sat nav head unit dead

Morning all,

I'm new to the forum and delighted to share i just purchased a very low mileage EP3 Premier Ed in black. I had one many moons ago in grey (non prem) and loved, but as you get older the responsibilities change and the more mature man starts to appear (basically you get married lol).

I've had a few hot hatces and sport cars.. but the thrill the Type R gives (also my T Sport Celica and Corolla), they just don't make them like that anymore.

Anyway I'm sure there will be other times to share my car experience.. but for now, I needed to know if anyone can guide me to fixing a dead double din factory sat nav. The car had been dry stored for 8 years, the last owner (died), but the kids (befire sale) fitted in a new battery, serviced it,detailed it, changed the brakes, and since then the stereo has not worked. I have checked the fuse under the steering (#8) and that looks fine. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Does it turn on at all?

Only asking as after fitting a new battery you would need to put a stereo code in for it to work.

Ah other than check all the connections at the back of the unit, wires, fuses etc like the standard stuff that's about my knowledge regarding stereos,
I've never had experience with the sat nav stereo unit on these,

Otherwise look at auto electricians, sorry I can't be much help.
