EPS Problem !

Started car on my drive & left it to idle for 5-6 mins, the eps light came on and the steering wheel would not turn

turned engine off then back on and light went out & went for a short spin round the block, car was fine but i'm worried why the eps light came on in the first place, any idea's people ? thanks in advance
 
Quite common! Especially if you are revving / blipping the throttle!
EPS Management just gets confused as to why you are playing tricks with the revs and not turning the wheel, therefor there MUST be a problem.
Reboot = Fixed! Almost like it was designed by Microsoft!

Unless it comes on and stays on after you turn it off and on again, wouldn't worry IMO!
 
As John says this is a normal response if left idling for longer periods.
