Fdsh Vs fsh

I recently got an 11 plate civic type r. It's almost got a full service history from honda, except the last stamp was by a indy garage.

It's now time for it's next service. Do I go for a Honda service or has the fuller dealer service history already been ruined? And is it even worth getting Honda stamps on a car this old?

With the standard of work of some dealers I don't necessarily think a full dealer history is particularly a good point. Then again it depends on the independent. If it was a well known specialist, I'd prefer that over a dealer, if it was a back street garage I'd prefer the dealer over that.

It's swings and roundabouts. A car with FHSH could be worse than a car with just FSH or part SH or maybe none at all. Unlikely towards the end but you get what I mean.

Cheers chaps. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of resell value. Would a dealer service history add anything significant to the value over a service history provided by a trusted (but not well known) independent garage?

I think that's down to personal opinion really. It might be a gold mine to someone seeing full dealership history or they might not give it a second thought.
