Ferodo ds 2500, EP3 front.

Best I found was around £95 delivered for the fronts, there are some traders on ebay also as mentioned above try tegiwa with forum discount or abp motorsports.

I use them for my track days and I can consistently out brake other cars. They may not be the best in some peoples eyes, but their still bloody good.

I 100% agree, used them all the time on my 106 GTI track car - I just want the best price I can get them for...

I don't think anyone is doubting that these pads are good!

I would just like @s2kip to say which pads are better for less as I would be interested in trying some.

Carbotech XP8, Dixcel Z Type, Project Mu HC800 all don't ruin discs like the DS2500's do.

Used DS2500 in the past, both times I ended up with disc issues. Never again.

Carbotech XP8s http://http://www.mtecbrakes.com/br...2-03-07-06-11/front-brake-pads/ct829-xp8.html - £192

Dixcel Z type http://www.burnmotorsport.com/dixcel-z-type-front-brake-pads-z-331238.html - £210

Project Mu HC800s http://www.hendyeshop.co.uk/project-mu-front-brake-pads-honda-s2000-civic-ep3--fn2-hc800-25892-p.asp - £133

So only the Project Mus are comparable on price really. Simon at Hendy really wanted me to try these Project Mus recently, he thinks they are great. I think I might give them a go after I've gone through the DS2500s I've just bought.

Cheapest I've found DS2500s for is with Tegiwa.

http://www.tegiwaimports.com/select...-brake-pads-front-civic-type-r-ep3-01-06.html - £100.94, but less with the forum discount.

The project Mu ones iv only seen for sale via hendy at £170.
Don't know enough about the Dixcel Z Type though but a quick search show some cracking reviews.
Carbotech Xp8 again are about £190 but supposedly much better than ds2500

Not seen anything for around the cost of the ds2500 though.

If you can afford go with S2KIP's recommendations.

Love to know where you can get them cheaper though as I shall be looking at upgrading fronts soon

do these sort of pads warrant the price for everyday use , or would these be recommended more for track use

OEM are fine for every day use.

Most people who still recommend DS2500 have not tried anything else. Hardly anyone on the MLR uses them.

DS2500's are exactly the same compound AP supply with their BBK's…..can't be that bad if they use them.

Which is why I was going to opt for something simple and cheap like Pagid as I only do around 60-70 miles a week max , and only open it up from time to time so seems a waste to spend 150+ on pads I won't benefit from

Stick with oem. You'll get a better upgrade by replacing the brake fluid if it's not been done in a while. If you're not putting much heat into the brakes then oem are fine. As for bite, pretty sure they have enough to put the ABS on.
