Fitted new stereo now some of my back lighting on the dash has gone out

Every thing works fine apart from one light.
I haven't run a separate live from the battery as it does not need one .
Or touched any other looms .
Any ideas guys would much appreciate

I've never bothered with it but on most Head units there's a separate wire for dimming the fascia on the HU when you turn the lights on. Maybe I'm miles off but it may be something linked to that?
Maybe a mismatch in the loom and the apapter? Try switching any pins in the adapter that aren't power/ignition/earth or speakers?

Sorry I can't give a conclusive answer. There's always google!

Whichever light is out give it a little bash, the heater control backlighting went out one night gave it a quick bash (not to hard) came back on been fine since.

It might be pure luck that the bulb went after you done the work
Have you tried the little 'tap'
My a/c bulb stopped working after i did mine
Gave it the 'tap' and all is ok
The wire for dimming is in the plug on mine so it should be on yours
So that wouldnt effect it

Only other thing is if you pulled the wires too much and slightly pulled a connector out
This is easy to check
Pull the surround towards you
Unscrew the 3 screw around clocks
Two at bottom
One at top
Lower steering wheel on adjuster
Then the clocks are free

For the price of the bulbs i would change them all anyway
You need x8 i think. A pack of 10 is around £4 - £7
Depending where you get them from
Halfrauds will be a different matter

Hope this helps
