fitting 6k h1 hid kit help please :/

Today my mechanic tried to fit my hid kit to my facelift ep3,But said he was going to have to cut a hole in the back of the headlight cover for bulbs to fit or something? Anyone know why this is ? Do I need any extra parts like bulb holders where do I get them from if needed?Thanks in advance

If you havent got any then you need some holders that fit around the HID bulb to fit in to the headlight without drilling any holes etc

Like these:

With these you can then set them in and use the metal clip to secure them in place like you would with the standard headlight bulbs.
They might not be the cheapest price so have a search around mate.
