FK2: Engine Light On + P2261

Messages

wasssup guys!

a fellow Civic Type-R FK2 Turbo owner has run into an issue where his:

1) Engine Light is On
2) Oil Temperature Light On

PLUS

3) with Engine Code P2261 (Check: Turbo/Super Charger Bypass Valve)

So its cool that he has basically all the mods available in the market, intercooler upgrade, intake, exhaust, some ECU upgrade, BOV, etc.

Story was he had done all these bolt-on upgrades, terrific, and nothing happened driven on street and even some spirited driving; So this afternoon he went on a Dyno just to see how and whether his car can really do the claimed 380hp and then BOOM, lights came on haha.

the below Link is a very knowledgeable writeup for OBD2 Codes but its very confusing with how to narrowing down our search!

so what are your thoughts guys? anybody have had this issue yet? thx pls reply shortly!

Pretty sure a chap called David Horam on Facebook had a similar issue and he thinks it may be linked to a loom issue.

Different code, same description.

The loom is too short and pulls on the connector when the engine rocks on its mounts. He hasn't come back as to whether rejoining the loom fixed the issue.

His is remapped too.

Does he have the forge intake pipe, they're having issues due to collapsing under pressure, I'm pretty sure they've stopped production until fixed
