Trouble at t'mill.

Looks like a wiring issue recall may be on the cards. Thread on CTRO: http://civictype-r.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=177&t=290448

Issue post: http://civictype-r.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3855603#p3855603

From some digging I've done.

Quite a modified car:

Happened to mine, one of the wires that goes to a sender on the head is too short and under tension.

...So I had it repaired, but my auto electrician did point it out to Honda and say it would be an issue

I've had my dash light up like a Christmas tree. Every warning light on, tyre/collision/cross traffic/EML the lot, wouldn't go over 70. Stopped, turned the car off and on and it was fine all gone, but it took 5 minutes to start reading the oil temp again.
No point going to the dealers with it as nothing has been stored on the ECU and it drives fine now.

That's the same symptoms I have. When the wire actually broke I had no boost at all and oil temp didn't work. Wire repaired all good for months and probably 6k miles. Started again this week but more intermittently and restarting car seems to clear it.

I'd guess advice would be to report all and any symptoms to the dealers as the more news of this gets back to Honda, the more likely that they will sort it out.

Just been reading into it. Could that be completely random? Surely not all looms have been installed exactly the same way and what I mean by that is there could be a twist in the loom somewhere or whatever which then puts a little bit more tension on a certain wire than there should be. Or am I silly for thinking that?

I don't know. It might be, but I don't know where this wire is.

There was a recall on the FN2 for the headlight loom, where on some cars it was routed under the engine mount and it shouldn't have been. So I guess it is possible.

There are three cars that we know of on the forums and FB, so there will be more. That's not random I wouldn't think.
