FN2 2nd Service Cost.

My FN2 is nearly 24 months old with 16k on the clock and is due its 2nd service.

I've just had a quote of £270 from the local stealer

Anyone else had the 2nd service done recently. I thought it was the normal 12.5K check up, which last time only cost £84 with me providing the oil.

I'm now going to check the service book to see what they are actually meant to do.

This service and a set of new front tyres could be £600 towards a new car.

Assuming it's similar to the EP3 then this will be a major service (24months/25k miles), it'll tell you exactly what it is in your service book, which usually are £200+ depending the dealer....

Just had a read of the service manual. The extra work on the 2nd service appears to be:

Inspect and adjust aux pully
Replace Pollen Filter

But it also specifies the following must be performed at 25k miles

Replace Air Filter
Inspect Valve Clearance.

I'm only at 16K, so I might ask if these items can be postponed.

I'm sure I have read about low mileage services but can't find the threads.

For warrenty reasons I'd get the full hit.
I've never understood these different levels of services offered by dealers when the exact shedule is the there in black and white from Honda.
