FN2 air box mod

Hi, I know theres threads for modifying air boxs on dc5 etc but wondered if anyone has removed the fins inside the fn2 air box and whether it made much difference to noise or performance? I dont have the funds or desire to fit an after market induction kit just yet so just wondered if it worth doing this?

I've got an airbox I've done it to, but never fitted it so can't tell you if there are any gains to be had.

Pretty easy to do with a Dremel though.
