FN2 FN2 Headlight Bulbs - Recommendations?

Messages

I would like to upgrade my dipped and side light bulbs to brighter whiter light. Any recommendations? Non HID.

What sizes do I need?

Thank you

Side lights are 501 size. I got these, nice and white.

You can get LED ones, which to be honest are probably brighter, but hey ho.

Dipped beam are H7 size. I have these.

Pricey, but you don't want cheap bulbs that blow all the time.

Don't forget not to touch the bulb at all when you install them. The oil on your finger will stick to the glass and burn them out when they heat up. Either use some rubber gloves or wrap them in kitchen roll to handle them.

This site is pretty good to be honest. Lists all the compatible bulbs.

I fitted them today along with the sidelights. They look good. However I found out I had some Phillips 55w already installed.

These?

OEM.

If they were anything like mine they were like holding up a couple of candles.

Thats the ones!

I tried the Osrams last night and I am very, very impressed! They actually look slightly like the Xenons I had on my TT. The light is very white and the visability has been improved drastically. The front end also looks very new and clean.

To sum up a very inexpensive way of improving the FN2's non HID headlamps. I just need to upgrade the rear number plate bulbs and indicators.

Sorry if this is a silly question but here goes, I can handle the ridicule does the CTR come with zenon headlights as standard? Thanks in advance........I think.

If by Xenon you mean HIDs then only from 2009 onwards if you had the Facelift version. 2009 was the transition year, so easy way to tell is if it has headlight washers.

;)

Ive been looking on the fog lights, but it says(These bulbs are not road legal and should only be used to give you a syling upgrade to match HID systems etc.) I'm just wondering has any1 got them fixed ? And will I get stopped by police?thanks
