FN2 Lights Improved Recommendation

Want to improve the lights but not wanting HIDS as don't trust myself installing them.

What would people suggest recommend? links if possible
 
Brighter bulbs, but HIDs are cheap to install and are much better.
 
For my Focus I just buy the most expensive non illegal ones in Halfords and they do me fine.
