fn2 lowering advice

Hi all

Got my -15mm Progressive Eibach springs Ready to fit, doing it at my mates garage as its convenient and free. also have the front camber bolts, and new drop links.

Problem is he only has a basic wheel alignment set up. Im happy to get it adjusted afterwards elsewhere as a few garages have decent alignment set-ups

Does anyone know how much camber is affected on the rear. will lowering only -15mm have much impact or will it still be within tolerance. reading up its shims on the rear and hard to get it spot on. but can be achieved. or has anyone lowered and just adjusted the Front camber.

Or is there anywhere local to telford that will do the full set-up after everything installed. i don't mind doing a little traveling if the price is reasonable

Thank you

Grinspeed at Leyland would be a good bet. They do a good rate on fitting too.

Rear is an unknown as they vary a lot as standard from the factory.

its a fair trip to be honest Loxy, 200mile round trip. Hoping theres one with a 40-50 mile radius. Midlands based.

would it be worth getting a free check at a local 3d hunter place to see where its sat after the lowering is done.

You'll be completely in the dark if you don't. Once you've got it measured on the back, you'll be able to seek advice on what shims you need for the rear.

The local leave will be able to adjust the cancer bolts if you've put them on by then.

Yeah i will fit the bolts the same time as the springs. Then get it checked. get some base figures.

Mean time ill have to source a local company that specialise in geomatry. Must be a midlands based company that can do it. Get places have these 3d hunter set ups, but not sure what there like.

Cheers Loxy

Area Motorsport and Ti Motorsport (Tegiwa) are both in Stoke-on-Trent, never used either though.

Ok thank you. Wouldn't hurt to make a call and find out.

Had mine done without any rear shims. Only given it the beans once or twice in bends (knackered clutch and nursing it).

I was advised that you don't really need them and they can cause some issues.

I didn't no or haven't heard that one to be honest. There getting fitted next Thursday and having exhaust done Friday so will have to book in somewhere to get some Baseline figures
