gearbox oil

Going to change my gearbox oil as second gear can crunch when in the vtec from first gear, it can only help!. so phone honda up to day to price some oil cause im doing it myself and i was told they dont sell it over the counter? they only could recommend castrol gear oil, anybody else had the same problem with dealer? can i get the honda mtf from anywhere else? what oil would use recommend?

Honda sell it and most people advise to use that so try another dealer

Going to try some tomorrow mate, i even asked about them putting it into a3l bottle and me buying it that way cause they only sell it in 25l drums

Honda MTF

I bought 8L for £35 from my honda dealer.

They normally have a big drum of MTF 3 out the back, so just go in with some containers and ask.

just to add to this, is changing the transmission oil a big task, i guessing lots of people have done this?
