Gel number plates

Im looking at getting some new plates, no badge or border just plan but either Gel numbers and letters or pressed plates, does anyone have any pics of either and do you think the gel will suit the car better than the pressed. opinions please. as i have come from VAG the pressed plates were huge but i think that is mainly a VAG thing.
 
I had pressed plates on my MX5 and have them on the back of my DC5, ill try find some pics, the look legal from a few feet away , but look allot higher quality so to speak,

i used http://www.platemyride.com/ , and they are fantastic quality!

The front plate was held on with no more nails tape, but it fell off and i ran it over doing about 100 , hence the battle worn pic....

I had (and still have) the gel plates on my Celica but they won't fit on the 'Teg :(

Everyone I seen (who was into cars) commented on how nice but subtle they were.

Yes the gel plates are legal.

I opted out of the CF gel and just went for plain black gel, but that's just my personal preference. My friend has the CF gel and I don't like them.
 
I think the gel plates with just black lettering look really slick and classy, I think that's the option I'm going for

When you say short, I presume you can only do that with a personal plate I.E.....A12 ABC less numbers etc or can you have a full number plate shorter legally.
 
You can still have a full number plate shortened at least a little, you can google it but I'm sure it's like 3cm from the edge of the first and last letter, you don't need to have a badge on either.

You need BS numbers or whatever at the bottom of the plate to say who made it, but back in my Ford Escort days I shaved the sides of my plate to make it a bit short and no cop ever pulled me for it as it was still within the limitslimits
