Getting a better induction needs a map?

Just wondering as I'm browsing around and I could see if you got a different induction from the OEM then you have to map it as it would not work properly or could cause damage?

Was planning to get TegiwaM induction but no plans of mapping it.

Sorry noobish question.

Thanks.

If it's not been mapped before, i.e. you don't have Kpro/K100 you don't need a map just for an induction kit.

Some kits might cause flatspots/hesitation due to their design etc., that can be mapped out by a good tuner, and getting it mapped will always show the full potential of any mods. GruppeM/TegiwaM should not cause any flatspots by the way.

Just getting an induction kit, as long as it is fitted correctly, will not cause any damage.

No, you don't 'need' a map. You don't 'need' anything with any induction.

You can remap a ecu on standard induction.

It's just another mod but a very good mod to rape extra bhp from your engine.

Got it guys thanks for the help. I'm just waiting for tegiwa! Or I'm tempted to get the ITG on for sale section.
