Glass scratches.........

Has anybody got a tried and tested method of removing some small scratches caused by the wiper blades on the windscreen. They cant be seen all the time, but when the sun is low they stand out like spiders webs. I realise there are pro' companies out there that remove scratches and kits from spares shops. But I didnt really think it was worth much expense. Was just querying if there is an old wives trick solution really. If not the scratches can stay.

3000 - 12000 Grade Micromesh , Very fine wet and dry (without the wet bit) will polish the scratches out. Other than that, scratches on glass are quite permanent as they would have to be resin filled to be removed.
