grove in new brembo disks???

Got new brembo disks and noticed on both front disks it looks like the inner edge has had some taken out about 1/4 of the way round, is this normal or is it from balancing the disks??

Have emailed Brembo! No reply as of yet..

It's a wear indicator.

If that groove disappears, the disc is worn to its limits.

have never seen it before and have changed disks several times! my mate has recently fitted same disks on his 182 and didn't have a clue why mine have it (and he's an engineer) lol

Some brakes have it.
Some don't.

Some have minimum measurements on the hub face or edge of the disc.

This method is a simpler way of determining disc wear.
